Innovative Materials & Technologies for Next Generation Green Buildings

SUPRA INSTITUTIONAL NETWORK PROJECT Under CSIR-12TH FIVE YEAR PLAN

Task – 1.1 : Nano-engineered Cementitious Materials

Task Leader:-  Dr.L. P. Singh

Objective:

To develop nano-engineered concrete exhibiting ultra high performance and durability using nanotechnology

Scope of the Work:
  1. Upgradation of laboratory facilities with FESEM and nano-indenter
  2. Cost-effective preparation of nanomaterials through sol-gel method
  3. Characterisation of nano particles through XRD, SEM, EDX, TEM, BET, NMR etc.
  4. Studies on nano incorporated cementitious materials in regard to morphological and mineralogical attributes
  5. Hydration studies of nano modified C3S
  6. Evaluation of engineering properties of cementitious samples
  7. Studies on chloride permeability, sulphate attack etc. in regard to concrete durability etc. and submission of report
