Task – 1.4 :
Phase Change Materials (PCM) for Energy Efficiency in Buildings

Task Leader:-  Srinivasarao Naik B

Objective:

To prepare Phase Change Materials, its encapsulation and use in building components for enhancing energy efficiency

Scope of the Work:
  1. Preparation of Phase Change Materials and Characterisation
  2. DTA/TGA and DSC studies to evaluate heat storage capacity of Phase Change Materials
  3. Encapsulation of PCM and its optimisation of PCM in building components
  4. Development of PCM incorporated prototype buildings
  5. Generation of data of temp profile of PCM incorporated building
  6. Submission of project report
